Roby Lakatos’ last few concerts have shown just how versatile he is. After his performances with Kristjan Järvi and the London Symphony Orchestra in London and with the MDR Symphony Orchestra at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, where he played the great Hungarian composers, he went on tour through a dozen Indian metropolises with the most highly renowned carnatic violinist, Subramanian. And now the Japan tournament approaches. This time Lakatos, who was awarded the superlative of “Fastest Fiddler’s Fingers” by The Daily Telegraph, will be accompanied by his incomparable Gypsy Ensemble.
